About Us

We ride our bikes to work and print things

Luddite Press is a creative print and design studio dedicated to preserving traditional printmaking techniques.

We do actually sweat the
small things

Luddite Press was founded with a deep passion for traditional printmaking and a commitment to providing bespoke design services. We believe in the power of craftsmanship and the beauty of high-quality materials, creating unique print products that leave a lasting impression.

We’re not quite heritage, but we’re definitely established.

Luddite Press was established in 2018 by artists Tom Parker and Tim Le Breuilly and later registered as a local non-profit organisation in 2022. Acquiring a significant amount of equipment relating to and necessary for many printmaking practices, the intention has been to share the equipment and skills with the wider community.

Following a successful ‘pop up’ at Jersey Museum and establishing a core of key members Luddite Press has been housed in the Quartermasters Store at Greve De Lecq barracks since 2019. With much of the traditional equipment being Victorian in design, the skills associated with their use can be viewed as ‘intangible cultural heritage’.

We've made a note
of these...

"SO much fun! I became a Luddite member after my workshop and now use the studio every week to make my own drypoint etchings"
Lucy
"It was a good chance to get hands-on and a little messy. I made something I will cherish forever (hang in the downstairs loo)"
Patrick
"I had no idea what to expect but was supported through every step of the process and left with several prints I am very happy with. The class gave me an appreciation for what goes into making a print"

Take the time to do it right.
Enjoy the process.
